An AI-Assisted Narrative Musical Saga
Listen on Suno ↗Explore the story ↓Launched on Suno on January 29, 2025, Somewhere is an ongoing science-fiction musical saga in which songs become chapters of a larger, interconnected story.
Across books and seasons, recurring characters navigate scientific discoveries, political conflicts, personal destinies, and mysteries that unfold over time. From the Creativity Contest and the world of Inox to new frontiers of consciousness, the story explores memory, identity, freedom, power, and the boundaries of reality.
Characters including Emma, Carole, Richard, Jane, Marek, and Gyu-Young evolve across an expanding mythology. Their choices shape a story that connects intimate human experience with far-reaching consequences.
The first six seasons comprise 234 songs as of October 21, 2026; Book 2, Season 2 is still in progress.
Human imagination leads the story. Artificial intelligence helps bring it to life.
Sébastien Loiret conceived the project and develops its fictional universe, overarching narrative, characters, themes, and artistic direction. He makes the final creative decisions and selects the musical interpretations that become part of the official saga.

ChatGPT is the primary AI co-writing partner, assisting with lyrics, narrative development, and continuity. Gemini contributes occasionally to planning and selected creative work.
Suno generates musical compositions, arrangements, and vocal performances, with results selected as part of the creative process.
The project explores how human creative direction and generative AI can work together to sustain a long-form narrative in which each song has its own musical and emotional identity.
Somewhere brings together elements of the literary saga, serialized drama, science-fiction mythology, concept album, and visual storytelling. Rather than presenting songs as isolated compositions, it uses music itself as a narrative medium. Structured into books and seasons, Somewhere unfolds through approximately 43 songs per season, creating an interconnected musical narrative on an epic scale.
The project is designed to grow: future sections of this website will explore individual books, seasons, characters, and their interconnected stories.
